In The Final Stretch...

Hello!!!

My doll is due to ship out this week and we are now in the final stretch for delivery...YAY & WOOHOO!!!! I am so very excited! :o) It's hard to believe that the wait is finally almost over. Now it seems to be coming quicker than I expected. I am utterly thrilled!!!

Until my doll arrives safe and sound I will not be posting anything until I can do so upon his arrival with pictures within the create and the unveiling step-by-step photos. I also want a chance to spend some time admiring him and just being happy that he is finally home.

I do have news to share when I make that up and coming post about something that I heard today regarding my doll that really surprised me and caught me completely off  my guard!!!  I mean, what I found out was brilliant!!! And, I can't wait to share it with you but I won't share it until my doll arrives and I start posting all about him. All I will say is that it was a true and humbling honour.

Right, I need to be off now as I have another long day ahead...thanks for stopping by and come back again to see the happy day in pictures.

Getting Close Now...

Hello!!!

Well, I am in the final preparation period whilst I await my doll. He’s been poured and awaiting finishing. Annette, from Realdoll, has been so kind keeping me informed of his progress and it won’t be too long now. In the meantime, I’ve been getting things sorted for his arrival. I have to say that it has been a lot of fun and I am so very glad the wait is almost over.

I managed to get a space sorted for him in my house. Believe it or not, I like the idea of him being displayed and people seeing him. These dolls are such wonderful and unique works of art, so why not show them off?

My former Male Realdoll 2 was in my living room on a stand. Most people didn’t know the full function of the doll and I never shared it. However, when guests would see him they were amazed at how very lifelike he was. He was always dressed and looked as if he were simply standing there watching what was going on. These dolls have a presence all their own and in the right place, they look like they belong there and really don’t need to be hidden out of sight because of their true function.

So, this new doll of mine will be displayed to be admired as my first one. Though he is different than my last one, he should have the same presence and art like quality. I think he will develop a personality all his own and that comes from posing and the clothing he will be dressed in. He is far more than a mannequin as there is something about the eyes and the not so perfect poses that seem to be frozen in time. Even the slightest change in position can make all the difference in the world.

I have never truly understood why people hide their dolls. I do respect those that do but these things need to be displayed. When I have read that people keep them hidden or out in a garage somewhere, I was startled. I mean, we spend so much money for these things why hide them? In general, most people will never have a clue what they are used for unless they are in the know. So why hide them? It’s like buying a piece of art and putting it in a closet with a blanket over it and never being able to fully enjoy for what it is on different levels is a huge waste of money. Though I reckon that maybe it has to do with the shame factor because they are indeed sex dolls…and very expensive ones at that. Maybe we need to get over the shame as they are not those silly blow-up-dolls that every one knows about. Now, I can see hiding those away as they are ghastly! Ewww…but Realdolls, well, they need to be on display for all to see in my opinion. They also make great conversations pieces.

Well, that is all that is on my mind for this post. Hopefully, my doll will be finished up and shipped off in the next week or so. I know they are really busy at Abyss Creations/Realdoll and have loads and loads of dolls waiting to go to their new homes. I guess that is why I don’t mind waiting so much. They do such a wonderful job and keep busy to make their customers happy. I reckon that’s what keeps them in business and people going back all the time.

Okay, thanks for stopping by!!! I will post more pictures as I receive them or when he arrives…Still trying to choose a name but it looks like I will wait until I see him face to face and get to know him. Such fun!

And He is Born...8 August 2014

Hello!!!

Well, here he is...born 8 August 2014 in Southern California USA!

Annette from Realdoll was very kind to send me these pictures and I am truly blessed. She has been so kind about everything that I am very touched. Yeah, I got a tear in my eye!!! I guess I am still very sentimental about things like this. Who knew?

As many of you know, I have really missed my old male Realdoll 2 and have regretted selling him back in 2012. Now, here is a brand new one that will be very different from my last one. I will never sell this one!!! No Way!!!!

So, as promised, I posted pictures as I received them. Thanks so very much for stopping by and having a look!!!

He's Been Poured...

Hello...

Today was a great day as my new Male Realdoll 2 was poured! How exciting is that? Now it is only a matter of time now and he'll be home. Woo Hoo!!!

I had asked Annette, from Realdoll, to take a picture or two for me so I could post them here of my doll in the mold curing. I don't think she had the time to do it but I keep checking my email to see if she has sent them yet but no luck. I'm not really put off as I know they are really busy over there and I don't want to push it. Nevertheless, I am still very excited to share this news with you. Should Annette be able to send me some pictures, great. If not I am okay with that too as she is an amazing person and I respect her and her position there at Realdoll.

Okay, that is really all the news I have at this point and once I know when he'll be home, I'll post straight away.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
