News...

Hello!!!

Well, I got some good news today. My doll will be poured next week and then it is just a matter of time. The only draw back is that they have been so swamped with orders that it make a take a week or two longer before he arrives home.

I guess that so many people have ordered Realdolls that they are behind in their 8-10 lead time for delivery, and,  just to get into the queue ahead of anyone will now cost $1,500. Well, in a way, that lets me know that these folks are busy and they have the ideal product. I don't think there would be so many orders had they not made a good name for themselves. So, an extra week or two waiting is not an issue for me. All their dolls are custom made one at a time and not pre-made as each one is a work of art and each one is different so they do not mass produce their dolls. Personally, I know for a fact that each doll is handcrafted to each persons specifications. They are each poured, cured, and then go into the final production stage. When you think about it, that is a good thing. They don't just sell pre-made bodies and heads to cut their time down. Each one is a custom order and that takes time...Right? Of course right...Realdoll can be trusted 100%.

The other day I was looking through a doll website that complained that READOLL did not post pictures or quanities of the male dolls they have delivered...And I would ask that person is simply, "why do you need to know that? What is your agenda?" Well, Realdoll has been around a long time and has an excellent reputation. The need to "prove" that they are sending dolls out is not needed. They are a trusted business. I worry about companies that violate people's privacy in photographing their pre-delivery dolls to show that they are doing some business. However, if you look at the doll site that does this, and the business person I am, makes me not want to trust them and I question the owners ethics and morals when many of those dolls are ones that were never sent or just different combinations of their own dolls and some with different make-up that they can change without sealing it first. My goodness people, wake up.

Well, enough of all of all of that. Anyway, in answer to this guys question, here is the answer from the good people at Abyss Creations the makers of Realdoll...I am sure if you want to call to the USA, they would be happy to share with you this information. I guarantee that they will not say something that is not true!!! So here's the answer and I am glad to share the total with you.

"Over 200 male Realdolls have been sold since they were released in 2009!" That is about 1 male doll for every 10 female doll sold by Realdoll.

Okay, that is it for this post. I shall keep you up-to-date as more information becomes available...

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Thoughts and Waiting...

Hello!!!!

Well, I am still waiting for my doll...no worries really...just tired of waiting...the closer it gets to the time of delivery the more the wait seems even longer. I suppose that is true for everyone that orders a Realdoll.

Okay, I am all sorted on clothing for him and a few bits and bobs as well. I ended up ordering a stand after all. The more I think about the weight, the more I realise that I am going to need one and I have the perfect place for it too. YAY!!!

In some ways, I wonder if I am making the right decision to get the Male Realdoll...they are very heavy and I do have some back issues. I was going to make a change and get a female doll but I will stick with this one. I figure that I should be able to manage it if I get a pulley system of some sort and that will help. Believe me, having a bad back as I do is no fun and I really should have given that more consideration than I did in the beginning. But, at the end of the day, I am sure I am going to love this doll!

Debra and Annette, from Realdoll, are true gems! They have been so kind to answer my queries and be there if I have anything I need clarification on. They truly deserve the Best Customer Service Award!!! With that being said, if you are considering a Realdoll in your life, those women are the ones to talk with. They are honest, genuine and have loads of knowledge regarding dolls and their function. I couldn't be more pleased with how I have been treated and they never tried to up-sell me on other features that might make the doll less valuable or troublesome to make a buck. I don't know any doll company other than Realdoll that offers a genuine service to meet ones needs. I am amazed at their honesty and their refusal to put down any other doll maker. They are the best silicon doll company out there in my opinion. Realdoll Rocks!!!!

Well, I am just two or three weeks away from receiving my new Male Realdoll 2. I have to say that I am very excited and nervous too. I sold my last doll due to the weight issue but I am willing to give it a go now that I do understand all that is involved and can plan for that. I guess now that I think about it, keeping my doll order as it is really is the best option for me after all. Sure, I love the female Realdolls and would be happy with one but the more I think about it, it is the male doll that I most think about and want...I can deal with the weight and make changes in moving him as needed. Where there is a will, there is a way! Right? Of course right!

That's it for this post. As more news becomes available and the closer my doll get to being here, I will post more.

Thanks for your loyalty and interest in this blog and my doll...and I promise to post pictures as soon as I can take them and them on here...I hope you'll be pleased.

Week 8...

Hello!!!

Well, I got some news today...my doll is going into the "Pour Schedule" next week. YAY!!! This means that it will be only a short time now before my doll gets home...How cool is that?

One thing I like about Abyss Creations (Realdoll) is that they don't make excuses or lie about when my doll would be here. They are up front and honest and the best thing is that I know I will get a very high quality product and one that will last without a lot of fluff and bells and whistles for a lot of extra crap that will only need to be replaced from a few days to a week or so like another company I know of. And, Realdoll stands behind their products 100%. I really dig that. Plus, my doll will look fantastic and very lifelike. WooHoo!!!

Well, just wanted to make this short and give an update whilst I was thinking about it.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!! You guys are great!!!

When It Rains...

Hello...

Today is a sad day. I am going to have to put my dog down and I am not too happy...However, I try to tell myself that this is life but I have had so much grief over the past several years that this is too much for me to handle.

Normally, I am against posting personal thoughts or feelings online but I needed to deal with this whilst it is happening...You know, emotional overload. UGH!

Well, my dog's name is "Dottie" and she is a proper Beagle. She just turned 7 years old in February. Dottie has been a good dog and loyal. However, she has some back and hip issues that are not operable. Last night she was walking about very funny and couldn't really use her back legs. They kept wobbling and could not keep her balance. She was in a lot of pain and I knew it. I comforted her the best I could but even today she cannot get around much.

Well, to make a long story short, I knew that this might happen. In the past, I gave her medications from the vet last time a similar thing happened. He told me that this could happen and she would be unable to use her back legs. Surgery was an option but very expensive and he could not guarantee that it would be successful. So, I have made the choice to put her to sleep so she isn't in pain or suffering. This is not an easy thing for me. I look at her and she is lovely and the best dog in the world...letting go of her is a tough decision but I cannot allow her to suffer. To be honest, I don't know if I am making the best choice or not...I just don't want her to be in pain and unable to walk...but letting go, well, I have never been good at that at all. I don't know what else to say here...

Thanks for stopping by...and thanks for listening to a troubled heart today...not a doll issue but a human issue. Ta

WEEK 6...Still waiting...

Hello!!!

Well, I am on week 6 of my wait for my new male Realdoll 2. UGH!!! It's taking so long!!!! LOL...

Anyway, I called Abyss today and spoke with Annette. She is a lovely person and very kind. I don't think it will be too long now until my doll goes into production. She explained to me that they are ordering something that I requested for my doll. However, I know it is going to be amazing when it arrives and perfect!!! Woohoo!!! Thanks Annette and Debra for all the hard work on making this new doll unique and lovely!!!! :O)

I've still been doing a lot of shopping and getting prepared for my new male Realdoll's arrival. I am so excited as this doll is going to be totally different than my last one. Stepping out of the box with my thinking and desires has been a blast! I am still a fan of ginger boys but this new one is going to be pretty awesome. I can't wait until he arrives and I will be even more excited when I am notified that he is going into production...YAY!

Well, that is about it the go round. Thanks for stopping by and having a read. As I get more news I shall post it here...Until then, be well and happy!
